Kate was 6 months old yesterday and wore green to celebrate St. Patty's Day too! She had her 6 month check up today and is doing very well. You can see here that she got her shots :(. Her doctor was very pleased with how well she is attempting to sit up, so we will keep practicing that among other tricks! She weighed in at 16 lbs. 2 oz. and was 25 3/4 in. in length. She was 60% for weight and was 55% for her height. Our chunkaroo is leveling out with her weight and height proportions as she used to be 75% for weight. The doctor said that they do this...of course like most things, I didn't know any different ;).
Enough number talk, we are so glad that its finally warmER here today and sunny. After 6 cold and rainy days, we were ready for this. Kate experienced her first cold the end of last week and then gave it to me. We realized something was wrong when she woke up 6 times in one night!
As you'll see here, we have visited some friends recently and their children have enjoyed seeing Kate and observing a 'baby'. OH, on a side note, I thought I might share something very funny that Kate has learned to do. One night about a week ago, Mike and I were sitting and relaxing watching TV when we heard this banging sound. We looked at eachother, wondering what it was and proceeded to walk around the house to see. Then Mike whispered to me, trying to stifle a laugh to come and listen at the wall behind Kate's crib. Oh, that banging was her crib hitting the wall! She was bouncing her legs up and down on her mattress so hard it was moving her crib and the funny part was... she was sound asleep!! After this first occurrence, we have heard her doing this many times, even in the middle of the night. She also does it when she is falling her sleep or when she is waking up. She is quite funny! :)
