Happy 5 Month Birthday Baby Kate!!!

Its amazing that 5 months ago, this little person came into the world and changed our whole life! She is such a little person now rather than a baby. Everyone says that they begin to do new things every day and its true. Here are some things that Kate likes to do right now:

• Pull her pacifier out of her mouth and attempt to stick it back in, only to pull it out again. She also likes to suck on her thumb while sucking on the pacifier at the same time..come on Kate, pick one! :)
• Tug on her toes. She has started reaching for those feet a lot recently and really stare at them and her fingers while she holds them out in front of her.
• Drool A LOT!
• Roll over. She rolled over from her tummy to her back 10 times in a row on Sunday and now every time I put her on her belly, she knows exactly how to roll out of that position. She is working very hard on rolling over the other way, but hasn't been successful yet.
• Babble and giggle. We think she likes the sound of her own voice a lot!

She had her first real babysitter Friday night so that her mom and dad could celebrate Valentine's day together and it went really well. We enjoyed our dinner and the fact that we were celebrating our 10th Valentine's day together. We visited with our friends on Saturday and Kate got to hang out with her birthday buddy Charlotte. They hadn't seen each other since December, so both of them had grown a lot. It was so fun to see them together! Kate also went to the church nursery for the first time Sunday morning and we weren't called during the service, so she did alright. It was a big weekend around here! Enjoy the new pics this week...

A VERY belated present!

Santa came to our house very late this year! Kate loves her new exersaucer. After playing with her friend Paige's in TX, she needed one. Her arms aren't quite long enough to play with most of the toys, but she is figuring it out and we like this new form of entertainment for her. She was all smiles!

She also was doing baby push-ups yesterday during tummy time which was really fun to see her do. Its still not her favorite time, but she can stay on her tummy several minutes now as opposed to a few seconds. We hope you enjoyed the videos and all the fun sounds that she is making now. She laughs when I laugh now which only makes me laugh harder...she is something else and it fills this house and our hearts with such joy :)!

4 1/2 Months

Kate has been loving on some new friends the past couple of weeks. We introduced a pig lovie that was given to her and she seems to really like it. We have named it Miss Piggy :). She also will hold onto stuffed animals if you lay them beside her. Another new favorite thing that she is doing a lot of is standing up. She loves having this new view of the world and prefers it to sitting sometimes I think. We are working on getting a video of her on here of her bouncing herself in the bouncy seat...but I'm not capable of doing that so Dad will have to take of it! Enjoy!
