It's Deer Season!

Kate was staying warm on our walk yesterday in her deer bunting from her Papa. She looked so adorable and cozy that we had to capture the moment with a picture!

A Healthy Report!

Today Kate had her 2 month check-up and AHHH lots of shots! Her appointment began well with her doctor telling us how healthy and strong she looks. She weighed 12 pounds even today and was 22 1/4 inches long. So she has gained 4 pounds in 2 months and 2 1/4 inches in length. Then the appointment went downhill as the nurse took her down the hall (we went with the doctor into his office) and it wasn't long before we could hear the shreiking. But the moment she was back in daddy's arms, she was better and smiling again. We'll see if our little miss sunshine has a rough night or not.

Kate got a visit from two very good friends of ours from Fort Worth this past weekend and she loved meeting them. We also loved having them here and showing them this beautiful city. Mike also ran a 1/2 marathon (he set a new PR!) this past weekend... though, no pics of him completing it, but we all were there to see him finish, including Kate in the great baby bjorn with her hair blowing in the wind! Lovin' Life!

Kate is doing great and its the most wonderful thing in the world to see her face light up as she smiles. She does it all the time now and even when she is falling asleep, we'll lock eyes and she'll grin and those dimples will pop out (or rather in :)). She got a visit from her Linny and Grandpa this weekend and I know that they loved seeing how much she had grown and all the neat things that she does now as opposed to the last time they saw her. We had a great visit and Kate loved getting bounced by Grandpa all weekend in the bouncy chair. He is a world-class bouncer and has been for a long time since he rocked all 3 of us to sleep growing up. I got to weigh Kate this morning and she weighed 11 pounds, 11 ounces!! Next week I will update after her 2 month check up. Today she is 8 weeks and here are some of the latest pics of her this past week.

Say Cheese!!

Kate was all smiles this week as she has become much more social! She is the queen of fighting her sleep during the day as well, but thankfully she is much better at night! Actually, she slept throught the night for the first time Monday night!! She slept from 10:00 to 6:00 and we were amazed! Now she didn't do it again last night, but we weren't expecting for her to do that again. We also got a visit from our friend Julie this past weekend and Kate really took to her and slept in her arms for days. We loved having you here Julie and miss you already!

I also took a few pictures on our walk the other day of the beautiful colors of the trees around here. Its the prettiest its been since my first fall here. Enjoy!
