A Visit Home

We got back a few days ago and are trying to get organized from being gone so many days. We were grateful to have so much time at home with our families and friends. We had such a great time and were very busy. Before we knew it, it was time to pack up and return home again. Our trip started with Uncle Stephen's graduation from UNT. We were so proud of him and had fun celebrating. Kate also had fun staying at Papa's and she loved his recliner. She rocked herself in it and giggled. We also visited Fort Worth for a few hours to see friends and were able to see all the new construction at TCU. After being in Denton, Kate and I went to my parent's house and Dad stayed to work in Dallas for the week. Kate had fun in The Woodlands trying out the pool (if I could have only taped her in her adorable swimsuit with her thunder thighs..absolutely precious!!!) and the swing. We also went to Mimi's and Kate had her first encounter with a horse. She probably thought it was a big Tucker! Our week ended with my good friend Sarah coming in town, we have known each other since kindergarten, so it was very fun to have her there and meet Kate. Aunt Allison and Jay came in town as well for the baptism. Uncle Stephen was in Hawaii, so we didn't feel too bad for him that he wasn't there :)!! The baptism went really well and Kate stared at our minister the whole time. We had her christened with Paige, they were born a day apart, so that was really special to share that day with the Tarros. All in all, it was a wonderful trip! Kate is a super traveler and seems to bounce back pretty easily, so we are blessed! Enjoy the pics!

Good Times!

Here are a few pics from the last few weeks of things we have been up to. My friend Teresa had her baby, Emmett, and I went to the hospital to meet the big boy and he is precious. Congrats Teresa and Andrew!! We also spent some time with our friends the Ratcliffs and we will miss them when they move back to Texas :(. Here are some pics of Kate, Tucker and I waiting for Daddy to get home last Friday. It was beautiful outside and I got some great pictures of her and Tucker too! And here is a picture of our chubby munchkin maxin' and relaxin' with her Daddy! She LOVES her Daddy and her whole face lights up when she sees him. She is also starting to wave which is soooo cute! We also ran the Race for the Cure this past weekend with Kate in tow. There were so many people out for this wonderful cause and most of them were walking, so we had a few near-misses as we tried to weave ourselves between them. Mike was wonderful to me on my first Mother's Day. We went as a family and got ice cream (Kate stuck her hand in Mike's which was funny), and I got to go on a solo jog, a treat for me, and he made me a great dinner. It was a really good weekend around here. Our next blog will be a little late as we are traveling home to Texas for Uncle Stephen's graduation and Kate's christening. Stay tuned for lots of pictures upon our return!
