In the countdown and waiting...

I have made it to 37 weeks! 3 more to go!

I went to the doctor last week and everything seems to be on schedule. She is doing well and I am too. I go tomorrow for this week's check-up and we'll see what I find out then. I feel like I'm growing daily and my stomach just continues to get bigger and bigger. Every day I wake up and think today could be the day or 3 weeks from now could be the day.

We went to our friend's wedding up around Charlottesville this weekend. It was beautiful and we were glad to be able to go. I think people looked at me and then looked at my belly and were like, Whoa, she's pregnant, VERY pregnant! I even had a member of the waitstaff ask if I was due any day now and would I like a chair :). I survived though and at least was wearing something comfortable! I will continue to keep you updated and let you know how we are progressing! I've included a couple of pictures of a new addition to Kate's room. My sweet friends from book club gave me a book rack along with some wonderful pictures books for Kate and I wanted to show how great it looks in her room. Thank you girls for this ;)!

The Nursery

Here it is...Kate's room! It is ready for her arrival...now are her parent's ready?! We are ready to meet her sometime here in the next 5 weeks, but are experiencing the same feelings I think most people get when they reach the end of the pregnancy...excitement, anxiety, fear and wonder at how we'll be able to do this, but I have complete faith that we'll handle it all (with the help of my mom and Mike's of course here in the beginning!). We had so much fun over these last few months gathering items for her room. Our favorite is the crib of course and we waited many, many months for its arrival and it exceeded our expectations. Her bumper has wild animals on it, as does her mobile, and I hope she is as much of an animal lover as we are. Mike has been hastily hanging things in there so that I could go ahead and take some pictures to share with everyone. The hardest thing ever were those letters above her crib and for future reference to anyone thinking about hanging them, either buy double-stick tape or have a mathematician workout the measurements. Thank goodness Mike is so good with numbers. If it had been left to me, I think there would have been tiny little holes all over the wall! We are so happy with how it all turned out and now its only missing one tiny thing...Kate!!

I had to include Tucker here. We were putting the carseat in the car and he was posing in front of the house. I had to capture it! He too is ready to meet his little sister! :)

34 weeks and counting down!

Its hard to believe that we are getting very close to having this baby girl. Only 6 more weeks! I went for my check up on Tuesday and everything is fine. My belly continues to grow and she continues to move a lot. We are almost done with her room minus putting the crib together. When we are finished, I will put up some pictures so you can check it out. My mom and dad were here last week while Mike was out of town and we got a lot of shopping accomplished. Mike learned how to install a carseat this week and we met our future pediatrician...lots of grown-up things we are learning about these days!! We will keep you updated and here are a few recent pictures. You even get a belly one..yea!

Whoa! Look at that belly! My belly button has been a true blue innie the whole time and its now only beginning to change :)
