Happy 12 Week Birthday Baby Kate!

I woke up this morning after sleeping a very long time because Kate gave me the wonderful gift of sleep last night :). Love those nights! I wanted to do a quick post before we head home for Christmas for a few weeks. Kate and I have her first plane ride very early Saturday morning to Texas and I am anxious and ready to get that over with and just get there. If anyone has any advice for me, bring it on...

Kate is smiling all the time and giggling and is so much fun to watch and play with. Here are a couple of new pics of her. If I don't get to do any posts before Christmas, I hope that each of you has a blessed holiday and gets to enjoy the comforts of home, family, friends and good food and most importantly, the love of our Savior.

A bookworm already...she's got her parent's genes for sure!

A Bad Hair Day

I had to post this picture so everyone could see Kate's funky hairdo. She has started having this hair stick up on her head everyday and its so funny. Here is a great picture of it and also of her being so strong and holding her head up on her tummy...it only lasted a minute before she started to fuss!

Baby Kate's a big girl!

Kate is 11 weeks old today! Wow! I wasn't sure I would make it past 11 days and look where we are :). She is a joy to watch as she smiles at us all the time, laughs and talks to us. Her favorite place in the house is her changing table where she lays there and smiles and laughs at the blank wall. We laugh and say that she's looking at her angels. Its so funny what can entertain a baby...I don't think as adults we find blank walls very interesting to stare at ;)! She also is entertaining herself these days with sucking on her hands. She is constantly putting them in her mouth, yet she hasn't figured out that sucking her thumb or fingers can actually soothe her. She still loves her pacifier and we actually had to introduce her to a new kind last week. She acted like it tasted bad at first, but after mom shoved it into her a mouth enough, she decided to take it and now loves this new one.
We had a great Thanksgiving here in Richmond with friends. We missed our families, but know that we'll see them very soon. Enjoy the new pictures of our darling girl!
Her mouth is open because she was trying to suck on the hood :)
All bundled up for our walk
She grabbed on (with a little help)
Playmates
Sitting in her bumbo seat (she leans a little...)
This is how Kate spent her 1st Thanksgiving...in a turkey coma :)!

Looking cute!
