Happy New Year!

Its been a little while since my last blog and so much has been going on. I will start with this first picture. This happened in the beginning of December at daycare. We got a call on a Friday afternoon that Kate had fallen out of a chair and as you can see landed on her head. She was okay, but when I saw her when I picked her up, I would have rushed her to the ER wondering if she had brain damage because she looked so awful...but I had to contain my emotions and believe the doctor when he said she was probably fine. Kids have hard heads we were told...if they only knew how very true this is when it comes to dear Kate's personality! We all survived our first major goose egg!

We had fun getting ready for Christmas this year. Kate has loved the tree and every day when we came home from work, she would sit on the floor and point at it and say 'uh-oh' until I turned on the lights. She also liked pulling off the ornaments, so our tree's ornaments start about 2 feet from the bottom on the tree :). There is a picture here of Kate showing off her moves on her Pooh toy..this girls loves to dance!

We returned yesterday from our trip home to Texas for Christmas. We were very lucky to get out of Richmond though. On the day we flew out, we had gotten almost a foot of snow and as you can see by the departures at Richmond International Airport, we were the ONLY flight that left. A Christmas miracle :). We had a great trip home staying in Brenham with Mimi a few days and then staying with Linny & Grandpa for a few days. Papa came to stay for Christmas and Kate got to see her Uncle Stephen a lot and her Aunt Allison & Uncle Jay too. It was a very busy visit filled with lots of activities and new people for Kate. We are all tired and glad to be home, but were sad to leave as well. A few more days of rest before school starts again and back to the grind we go...Happy New Year to all and many blessings!!!

Poor Poor Kate (2 days later, and does no justice as to how far it protruded from her head!)
