Scary!

I wanted to share what a scary time we had yesterday. Tucker got bitten by a copperhead in our very own backyard yesterday! We saw him outside looking at something and he can get into trouble VERY easily so Mike went outside to see what he was looking at and when he got there, he heard hissing and rattling noise and saw this snake coiled up. Poor Tucker had at this point run up to Mike and was bleeding from a spot on his snout. We rushed him to the vet and he was given lots of meds and fluids. He is okay, very swollen and in some pain, but he's doing better today than yesterday. The poor guy looks so pathetic, I had to take a picture of him.

You can see that his left side in the picture is sollen and you can't see the two marks, but they are close to whiskers. Thankfully he is going to be okay. (A neighbor saw us speeding down the street yesterday and thought I was going into labor :) ha ha...No not yet thankfully!)
